Rose,
I am looking into the census, but sadly it is not an easy searh. The index does not show her name, nor do the census images 2 previous and 2 after Villien LaDeux show a Sonnier. I did find a Oren*** (illegiable) Fontenot at house/farm #291, 2 pgs. prior to the LaDeux household with a Adelie Fontenot, age 21, sister to HOH Oren***. There are no Sonnier childern in the household though.
Is there a sibling or relative that she may have temporarily stayed with, until she could get back on her feet financially? If so, I could look to see if she is staying with family/friends while "collecting" herself after her husband's death. I did a national index search, and no Sonnier female showed up anywhere with the first name beginning with A. It is either like my Ovide and not a census friendly person, or possiably missed because they are living w/ relatives.friends.
If you wish, you may email me direct. ksnchic@peoplepc.com.
I'll keep looking in the meantime.
Sincerely,
Laura
