Dear Mary,

Thank you for your order. I had looked for you on this site but I did not know how to look so I telephoned you and left a message.

I wanted to touch base with you so you would know exactly what you have ordered. I have Osia A. Ardoin (Ovide, Arside (aka as Arsile), David, Francois, Etienne, Denis, Pierre, Elizee (Hardouin) born 07 Feb 1904. I think Laura Thomas must have given me his birth date because I did not find it in Southwest Louisiana Records by Rev. Donald J. Hebert, V. 36 (1904). Is this his right birthdate? Was he born in St. Landry Parish?

Do you wish to add your mother's name? I do not ask for personal information and if people give it to me, I include it only if they ask me to. I just enter their names and Private.

I have learned to print my research in book format with a Title page, Register Report (loose pages 8 x 11"), Table of Contents page, and Index. Some people take the pages to a place like Office Depot and have them spiral bound, but for myself, I prefer to place the pages in plastic sheets in a note book and then add pictures, birth and marriage certificates, etc.

Ms. Aimee Ardoin Guillory was/is our neighbor in Ville Platte, Evangeline Parish, LA. She is a delightful person, well into her nineties, and is still a beautiful lady. I visited with her a year or so ago and bought one of her books, in fact, her last one, but I learned today that Andrepont still has some of her books in stock.

We lived just a couple of blocks from her house. My brother lives in our parents' home so I guess we are still neighbors. I still have family and friends in Ville Platte and visit twice a year. Every time I visit, I spend time at the Evangeline Parish Library. Lots of good information in the library.

If all goes well, I will print your book and Glenda's in the morning. I am an early riser and do my best work early in the morning. I think you will be pleased with the results. Lots of good information in the research, most of it from published Catholic Church records, cemetery records, the Social Security Death Index and the census, plus some historical and biographical information from Ms. Aimee's book, etc.

I am not an Ardoin descendant but I have lots of Ardoin cousins and I knew/know lots of the present-day Ardoins found in Ms. Aimee's book.

If you wish, you may reply to me at my web-based e-mail:

Thanks again.
