Hi, I saw your message on genforum. I think we may be from the same family. james Ardis was born about 1797 in Oak Hall, Accomac Co., Viriginia. his wife's name was Elizabeth ? These dates were found in the census of 1850 of James and Elizabeth. I also found a record of William Ardis age 27 and his wife Regina age 20 and son Wm. age 1. Could be a brother of james? James had a son named James William b.June 28, 1832 born Accomac Co.,Va: whom I am desecded from. Their other children were Elizabeth b.1831; Harriet, b.1834, Louis,b-1836,Irvin b.1840; and Emma b.1844. James Wm.married Eliza Alexander born-Dec.11,1855, and their children were Thomas David b1858, Mary b.1860, Alexander b.May08, 1861( my great -grandfather) Wiliam James . Born-may22, 1862 and Arrah b.1864 all in Accomac Co. Viriginia Can you tie into either of these? I would love to hear from you. I live on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Sincerely, Trudi A.
