Richard Arden, Surry Co. NC 1800

I have an ancestor named Nancy Harden/Hardin b.26 June 1782. Her parents, according to a bible record I haven't seen, were Richard and Agnes. I have never been able to find her parents. But, she is with her new husband, Joab Scallorn, in Surry Co. NC in the 1800 census, and very close to them is a man named Richard Arden. Does anyone know anything about this man that would help me determine if he is my ancestor or not? Nancy and Joab named their first daughter Rowena, which is not a Scallorn name. Maybe this would help.
