Abijah Arden m. George Wilt in 1763. She was the dau. of Jacob ARden and Catharine Beekman.
Jacob was private in the Orange Co. militia under Col. Hay. He was the son of Jacques (James) Arden of England and his 2nd wife Abijah Bouquet, dau of FRancois Bouquet, a French huguenot. James Arden had 1. Jacques (James) 2 Fancis 3 Thomas 4 Jacob 5. JOhn. This information from a book by Zelma CAmille Arden and from the material complied by Margery Arden Hall and located N. Y. Historical Society in 1936. I hope this helps
