Origins of Arden(ne) ?

Are those with this surname able to trace it back to a geographical origin (the Ardennne forest area of Belium/France) ?

Or is it perhaps from the Latin "ardens" and French "ardent" (are-DON without the "n" sound) ? Are those people indeed "burning, blazing, fiery, fervent, passionate" (have to be careful or this forum will stop me from posting this) ? Maybe it's better not to be too "fiery" in the middle of the forest!

Let's let the "ardent Arden(ne)" people tell us more about themselves.
