Esther, Martha, Sarah ARD-South Carolina-1830s-1850s
I recently discovered that my gggrandmother was probably Esther ARD based upon the following deed:Sumter District, SC, Deeds Book NN, Page 259
...I, Martha Singletary of the State and District aforesaid and in consideration of the love, favour, and affection which I have ... toward my great grand children, daughters of Cefroney ((Sophronia Pervis Singletary)) Caraway, namely: Martha Ardd, Sarah Ardd and Esther Singletary, wife of John ((J)) Singletary and in further consideration of the sum of $5.00 to me in hand paid by the above named great grand daughters, Martha Ardd, Sara Ardd and Esther Singletary ... all my stock of cattle and hogs, all my beds and house and kitchen furniture at my death and to their lawful issue ...
1 May 1850
/s/ Martha Singletary, her mark
Does any researcher have any information on this family?
Thanks, Jim Singletary
