Starting Sept. 5, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

Alistair,

Go to the Publish Workspace. That will take you to the Collection Tab.

You will find the Extended Family Chart, in the Chart Collection. The default lists of Charts has the Extended Family Chart at the bottom of that list.

If you take a minute to look at that collection (Charts) you will see 10 Trees (charts). Since you are already on an individual (mini-Pedigree Chart at the top of that screen) you will see 10 Different TREES based on that individual.

Hopefully that helps you understand why I am asking you about what a Tree is to you.

In other words, Family Tree Maker has a collection of Individuals in the FILE. With Relationships that you have entered / created, coming to this screen, you can generate 10 DIFFERENT TREES for that individual.

Russ
