Hi Russ,

I will re-phrase. By instance I mean an installation of FTM in which the built-in text can be changed to a different language.

I have tried different methods to present to foreign language family members a tree in their language but I cannot get around the fixed English fact names that appear in the Person and Family boxes for data entry.

Yes, I can add new facts with new names in any language, but all the standard ones (Name, Birth, Sex, Marriage and all the other hard-wired ones) remain in English. I can open a fact in the pull-down menu of Add Fact, but I cannot edit it. Could you add editing of fact names in a future edition?

Also, would it really be that difficult to add a step to the installation process where the user can select the installation language of these data entry related box-names? Ideally, this internal dictionary of data entry-box names could then be used in the report and printing steps.

As I have said before, I have struggled with the English-centered version of FTM for many years and I would be happy to pay a premium for this feature.

Happy New Yeat to you and the other members of the Team,

Hans Rumland
