Hi Tom, The date of Dec 11, 1721 could very well be right. The Charlotte Demers I have on my pedigree paper has no parents listed, however from looking on the internet and searching a lot I also found a Marie Charlotte Dumais who was married to a Pierre Louis Chodillon(Antoine Chodillon, Marie Boucher) As for Michel Chartier,my pedigree paper says his date of birth was Sept 29, 1796 St. Roch De L'Achigan, married Feb 14, 1825, to Esther Larose b. abt. 1804, died St.Andre D'Argenteuil, Que July 03,1846. Michel died Nov 11, 1872 at Aylmer, Que. I also read on a website that Michel Chartier and Esther Larose had 2 children in Canada, Aurelie Chartier b abt. 1825, and also Frank Carter b. March 21, 1844 died Mar. 28,1922 in DePere, Brown County, Wisconsin. Frank (his name at birth must have been Francois, being named after the father of Esther Larose but after he grew up I suppose he had moved to the U.S and changed their name to Carter. It also said Aurelie Chartier married Francois Gravelle Jan 08,/1849 . The children of Frank Carter and Louise Valin are all named Carter. On my pedigree paper the son of Michel Chartier is listed as as Zepherin Chartier b. Aug 22, 1829 which would have made his birth in between Aurelie and Frank. So anyone looking in the line of Francois Chartier would have to refer to Frank Carter of Wisconsin also vice versa.
