Christine, my husband's great grandmother was Mary Archambault. According to my mother-in-law she had twin sisters, Ester & Edith. Mary married Albert Charron in Jan 1893 at St. Mary's Church of the Nativity in Swanton. My mother in law also said Mary had a brother Arthur and another brother that was handicapped. Edith Archambault died in St. Albans in 1950 and Virginia Brown was her executrix. Theodile and Mary are shown in the 1900 Fairfield, VT census but with the last name of Shambo. It also stated they had been married for 28 years and that 9 of their 11 children were still alive. It also stated that Theodile came to the US in the mid 1850's. I don't know why but the Archambaults and Charrons seemed to change their names to Shambo and DuCharme and then would change them back. Do you have any additional info?
