the surname Arce ( de Arce ) is from a place in the north Spain named Puente Arce ( Arce bridge )in the province of Santander .
Many Arces went to the british isles during the conquest of Ireland by the Spanish king Milesius , before the first Century , and then to France , converting the de Arce in Dorcey , Dorsey , Darcey , D'Arcy , Mac Darcy, etc.
In the recent times , the Arces came from the Santander region to America , and there are many families in Mexico related in some way with us . I know some in Guadalajara , Cd. Victoria , Merida and Mexico City .
I have made some investigation with my family , and reached the 17th Century for the moment .
I would be pleased to talk with you all .
