I am happy to see this posting since I am now digging into the Arant family history. I have some information that puts their entry into the USA in 1733, but a second wave seems to have come in 1764. Haven't been able to link all of this together, as yet, but hope to. In any case, all seem to have gone into the South fairly soon - primarily South Carolina and Alabama. I would like to hear from any and all to exchange infor-mation on e-mail and/or snail mail. I am originally from Texas via Kentucky ancestors and probably back to South Carolina, but am not positive if SC or AL.
