Since it's been several years since your posting, I thought I'd respond to see if you've learned anything new about Elijah's parentage. I descend from Elijah and Anna through their daughter Sarah who married Alvin Massey. I have been looking at all the Arant info out their but no one seems to be able to place our Elijah in the family. I thought about the ED Arant in Alabama as an option for Elijah, but have since learned they are 2 different men.
