Allen Arrant married Elizabeth Ferguson Upson Co. Ga 25-Oct-1829, Jacob King, M.B.
Married Rebecca Neely (dau of David & Mary)late 1839 early 1840. Alexander 26-11-1840, Missouri 8-1844, Lazarous 1848 & Mary Jane 1850 were her children. She died in 1855 and Allen was made guardian of them, listing David Neely as thier grandfather.
Married Elizabeth Greenwood (widow of Thomas whose father was John Greenwood who died in Rusk Co.) after June 6, 1856, her children were Allen F. 5-1858 Henry C. 8-1859, Jeff D. 11-1861.
I lost Alexander after 1870 Liberty Co.
Missouri lived in 1870, 1880 Leon Co. then Madison Co in 1900 with her son James Greenwood.
I have never found Lazarous/Lane again after 1860 with his grandmother Mary Neely in Houston Co.
Mary Jane married a Holiday and had 2 children listed in 1870 Leon Co. but no husband listed, I have never located her again.
Allen F. never married as for as I know last time found him was in Little River Co. Ark in 1900
Henry was 1900 Tyler, 1910 Newton, 1920 San Augustine, Tyler 1930 married to Sarah (1886) and Louisa M.(ca 1894)
Jeff was in 1900 Panola Co with Sallie
The first record I have on Allen is the 1827 Ga land lottery. Then his and Elizabeth married record in Upson Co in 1829.
Elizabeth Ferguson Arrant was listed in the 1830 Upson Co census as between 10-15 years of age Allen was 21. There were 2 males between 5-10 listed also..possibly her brothers to old to be children of either him/her. Allen moved into Clarke Co. Miss ca 1837 but I have not located him on the 1840 census. Then various records from Miss to Texas.
I also have various records on his brothers and everyone on else with the name Arrant,I even know thier father Peter was in the Amer. Rev and they were in Ga before 1790.
You collect alot of misc info when you are hunting for information on one person.
By the way you wouldn't happen to know if Elizabeth was Greene Ferguson of Upson Co Ga. sister?
