I have a Thomas Evans (b: 1853)in Pageland who was married to a young woman known only by her initials, R.E.C. born about 1855 with no maiden name known. Thomas and R.E.C. were married before 1882 but got divorced early in the marriage. It is possible that your Rachel E. C. Threatt may be the same person. Let me know if you find anything that would substantiate this. Thanks.
