Sorry to be so late in getting back to you, but I am new to this and lost my way back to this site. I have now found that I descend from Aaron Arant in SC (one of many sons of Jacobus of the original pair of brothers who came here in 1764. The other was Peter). From Aaron, I then come from James B. Arant
(same as mine!! and one of many kids), one of three brothers who went to Kentucky in 1850. One of his 11 kids (10th in line), Jefferson Davis Arant, was my grandfather and he went to Texas where my father, arry J. Arant, was born. Whew! I would like to tie all of these siblings and their descendents together if I can. The name you cite,Barbara Ellender Arant, sounds familiar and I may have seen it in a hugh pile of information sent to by Gene Arant Rhodes,who lives out in Washington state.
