I apologize for being long in getting back to you, but I am new to all of this and lost my way back to this site.I have some, but little data about the Arants in SC, but since my message, I have found that I am descended from Aaron Arant, one of several sons of the original Jacobus Arant who came to USA in 1764 (brother was Peter Arant). From one of his many sons, I connect to James B. Arant who went to Kentucky about 1850, and from one of his many sons, Jefferson Davis Arant (my grandfather) I am descended from his only son, Harry J. Arant born in Harrison County, Texas (probably Marshall, TX). One thing for sure all of these Arants had a lot of children, as did their children. So we have the task of trying to find and run down the information on all of these many siblings to find connections. But, they are there somewhere.
