Am seeking information on my great-great-great grandmother, Polly Arant Threatt (or Threat) who lived in South Carolina(we think in Lancaster County at one time) and married Benjamin Threatt or Threat. Polly was born May 26, 1833 and died July 4, 1936. She died and was buried in Chester, South Carolina (Evergreen Cemetary). Children of the marriage included Henrietta b.1866, Sarah b.1869, Madaline B.8/20/1867, Maggie (My great, great grandmother) B.2/14/1872 or 1874, Joseph b. 1875 and Nathaniel b. Jan. 1880. It is a story in the family (as in others I'm sure) that Polly was either part or full blooded Cherokee. We have not yet been able to substantiate this. Seeking information particularly on Polly's parents and possible birth place and any siblings. Many Thanks.
