Hi All!
My name is Deral Elkins. I am not related or connected to the Yell family, but I am attempting to help my cousin’s wife, Malinda, find information on her Yell ancestry.
Her grandfather, Archibald Warren Yell was born 29 January 1890 in Wartrace, Bedford County, Tennessee and died 14 February 1957 in Lampasas, Lampasas County, Texas. Malinda said he is believed to be a descendant of Archibald Yell, the second governor of Arkansas, born 9 August 1797.
So far, I have not been able to make the connection. I would certainly appreciate any assistance that anyone would care to offer!
