Hi, I'm trying to locate a Lucy or Fanny Jones born about 1862 possibly in Woodruff Co., AR. In my family, I have a David J. Johnson b. 1842 in AL. I believe his parents could be Washington Johnson b. 1806 GA and Elizabeth b. about 1820. I find widowed Elizabeth Johnson on the 1870 Cotton Plant, Woodruff Co., AR census with David's siblings: Stephen, William, Caroline, Washington, Margaret & Daniel. (Except for Washington, I have never found any furter info. on the other siblings). I have not been able to find David Johnson on an 1870 Census data. He marries a Lucy (Jones?) Pearce on 24 Jan 1867 in Woodruff Co., AR. So he should be in AR with Lucy in 1870. In 1870, I do find a David Johnson on the next page after the widowed Elizabeth Johnson, and here's the strange part, this David Johnson is age 35? and is with a Lucy Jones age 9. (This age fits a step-daughter named Fanny Jones on an 1880 census with my David Johnson). My David J. Johnson is found on the 1880 Cotton Plant, Woodruff Co., AR census with wife Lucy, daugher Octillia, and a step-daughter named Fanny Jones age 17. I'm wondering if this Fanny Jones could be the Lucy Jones age 9 on the 1870 census? There is a Lucy Jones that marries a George Pearce on 15 Feb 1866 in Woodruff Co., AR. Then there is a record of a Lucy Pearce marrying David Johnson on 24 Jan 1867, which I'm pretty sure is my David J. Johnson & Lucy found on the 1880 census (ages match up). Does anyone have any info. on this Lucy or Fanny Jones in Woodruff Co., AR? I would also appreciate help finding David Johnson b. 1842 AL on an 1870 census. Thanks, Lisa Luther Notify Administrator about this message?
