Long shot. I am also looking for some Johnson's in Woodruff Co., AR. My gg-grandfather, David Johnson livid there for a time close to his mother and siblings. His oldest brother was Benjamin b. 1838 in AL. I do not have anything else on Ben.
Ben and Dave's parents were Washington and Elizabeth Johnson. Elizabeth can be found in Woodruff Co. AR in 1870 with some of the younger children - she is widowed.

David and brother Steve joined the Civil War from Woodruff Co., AR. Between 1880-1881 David is in Falls Co., Texas. I have no idea why he is threre and have found no other siblings that went with him.

Not sure if this is same Ben you are looking for. Do you know if he was born in Alabama and what year?
