Pleasant Plains, AR

I know that Pleasant Plains is now a part of Independence Co, AR. I am trying to find info on my ancestors Henry Bagby Cox and his wife Margaret Moffett Cox. Henry died around 1857-59 and Margaret had land that was sold to settle her estate in 1879. It was in Township 11 North, Range 7 west. Is it possible that this was in White County or Jackson County in 1857-60? I haven't been able to find any probate record for Henry B. Cox and wonder if this may be why. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I'll be in the Batesville area in early April and want to locate this property and also do some more research. Thanks!
