Donald,
Thanks so much for your time in doing that bit of digging. I had earlier found a T. P. Williams who seems to match your Thomas Williams. You add some interesting details with the two census readings.

I have strong feelings that Thomas or T. P. (perhaps he was also known as "Thee") may indeed be the mother of my great-grandmother, I still don't have that concrete proof.

But every little bit helps, and thanks again.
