Bill,

Unfortunately I can't give you any information that would be of direct help in tracing your Anderson line. I can tell you that the Thomas J. Baker with whom Peter Anderson is shown living in the one census was in all likelihood Thomas Jefferson Baker, Jr. (1850-1911), husband of Sarah F. Brown, whom he married in 1874 in Massac Co., Illinois. Thomas was the son of Thomas Jefferson Baker and his wife Tabitha, and was probably born in Marion or Massac Cos., IL. I believe he was the younger brother of my g-g-grandfather, John D(unning?) Baker, whose children (James, George, Nancy and Tabitha) were living in White County by 1880. I have found no record of any marital or kinship ties to the Andersons, or to the McPikes or Ghormleys, but will keep your search in mind. Good luck.
