I am looking for my ancestors that lived in the Gray Township of White County Arkansas. They are listed as being in Enumeration District 167. I have an old letter dated back in 1883 giving directions in which he lived. The letter states: "Nannie I wish you would all move out here it is a helthy climate. we have mineral springs all a round as we have three in side of 4 miles of us the Griffin springs is in 2 miles of us and the Sulper Springs is in 3 miles of us and the Armstrongs springs is in 4 miles of us." The family members that I am searching are: Lewis James and wife Mary J. James and their children Calidonia and James Carroll James. I do have letters of James Carroll James writing back and fourth to Lewis James sister Nancy Wheat that lived in Weatherford Texas at the time. I have located the burial spot for James C. James and his wife and children but am trying to generally locate where Lewis James and family lived in the letter quote I listed earlier. I am trying to locate the Springs mentioned and have an idea where he may have lived and died, so I can locate possibly the cemetery. I hope someone can help me. My email address is I would appreciate your help. Thanks
