Johnson Switch is now called Johnson and is located just northwest of Fayetteville in Washington County. Very little is left of the old town: the old general store, which is closed; the renovated Johnson mill which is attached to a very nice hotel and restaurant; the railroad tracks--trains do still run, but the "switch" is no longer used, I think. There are a few older homes, a nice old bed and breakfast and lots of new homes and businesses including a women's clinic and several other medical facilities.
