You might want to try Bledsoe Co., TN. some of the Hale's neighbors moved from Bledsoe County to Washington Co., AR. These families were Vernons and McDonoughs. I just started researching in Washington Co., AR this morning. So excited to see what I can find. I do research the Hales of Bledsoe, Van Buren, well, can't remember the other counties in East Tennessee right now. I'm not related to the Hales, as far as I know. My girlfriend from Chattanooga is a Hale from Spencer, TN.

Have to run now but will keep you in mind if I turn up a connection.
