My 2nd Great-grandmother is Temperance Caroline PRICE who married Alfred Harrison SEARCY. She was called Caroline. Her brother, John PRICE, is said to have been the one who settled the now called "PRICE Mountain". I was born in Springdale, Washington County, Arkansas and now live in Canada with my husband, so it is hard to do research from here. Would appreciate hearing from any of the PRICE family descendants. Miss Ola WATSON is my cousin as well as my first grade school teacher (she was also my father, Paul Brooks SEARCY's first grade school teacher). Miss Ola's grandmother, Caroline is my 2nd Gt.g. Miss Ola lived just up the street from her grandmother until Caroline died 15 Nov 1908 in Springdale. Long ago I had found a newspaper clipping that lead me to think that maybe Caroline's MOTHER had come to Springdale to visit her son, John PRICE and his sister, Mrs.T.C. SEARCY. I have been told that at the Shilo Museum is Miss Ola WATSON's papers and that in them has the parents names of John PRICE and Mrs. SEARCY as Father, William PRICE and Mother, Nancy DOWNS. This would fit my research that started with Caroline's 1852 published BIBLE with the PRICE name and an A.HILL name in the 4 pages of recorded vital record dates. It took me years to find a census on an A. HILL family with a person named Nancy PRICE living near by. Nancy is living with him as age 71 years in the 1870 Census in Georgia. Nancy dies 18 July 1887 in Georgia. It was before she passed away that I think she might have come to Springdale with her older daughter, Mrs. Mary F. PRICE Hill to visit her son, John PRICE and Mrs. Temperance Caroliine PRICE Searcy. Please let me hear from you If you know anything about these persons. Most Sincerely, Willie E. SEARCY
