Hi, Thanks for the reply! Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find a whole lot of information about this particular family outside of a few basic facts. Fereby's parents were Elliot Rucker Byler and Sarena Patton. The were originally from the Bedford Co. Tennessee area, but miagrated to Arkansas around 1854. Elliot was a member of Co.C. 34th Regiment Arkansas Infantry CSA from 1861-1865. This family was living in the Washington Co., Arkansas area during this time. I think that it was just a matter of location that brought the Scott and Byler family's together. From what I remember, JW Scott's family was also from the Washington Co. area.
I hope that this helps some! :-)
Shawna
