Any Info. on Calvin and or Mary would help us so so so much.
My grandmother ALTA ROGERS was born May 31, 1915 in Salina. Her father was CALVIN ROGERS,born in Washington Co. ARK. abt.1874. Her mother was MARY ROGERS(ROBERTS) born in Benton Co. ARK. abt 1882. They were married in Washington Co. ARK. on Oct.15, 1895. I found that much out from county court records. ALTA's mother died when she was 2 years old, she then lived at Sand Spring orphanage for a while.She had brothers & sisters, all have past away now. OLLIE THOMAS ROGERS-9-3-1898, WILLIAM OTTO ROGERS, NANCY LOU VELTA ROGERS(NANCY was a baby when her mother MARY died).ALTA was raised by SCOTT & MOLLIE WELCH In OK.I'm not sure if it was her father or grandfather that was killed or (suicide) around Feb. of 1931 or 1933 in Pryor,OK.I believe there was a write up & picture of ALTA in the news paper.I'm not sure of this, but I have been told this many times. I live in Ky. with my 5 children & don't have time to travel to find out all if any of these things. I have found her parents on-line info & it only lists OLLIE under their children.(could be an over sight on someone's part, or has everything my grandmother has known as family been a mistake? PLEASE HELP ME? ANY info on ANY of the above would be...I can't think of the right words to express what it would mean to us.My grandmother is pretty much the world to me.
