When I was a child in Clinton in the 1940s there was a Marion Pistole who lived out on Pee Dee road. Pee Dee road ran between Highway 65 in Clinton and the town of Shirley in Van Buren County.

I believe Marion was in the Army during WW II with one of my uncles. I don't think he was married at the time, but I'm not really sure about that.

That's all I know about him, just wanted to let you know about him in case you are still searching.

My guess is you could likely find the family in the 1930 census, probably in Griggs Township, perhaps Holly, Union, or Liberty Townships.
