Could be......all I know is Spencer Gilley died in 1859 in MO and left a list of his heirs.....his sisters were listed
Minerva Turney - died in AR
Lucinda Cornwell - died in AR
Sarah Smith - died in AR, but a son is mentioned.

Perhaps this Lucinda Gilley Cornwell wife of James Cornwell might be a grandmother of your Sallie. It is worth you looking at - I have the 1850 census on these, but not after that. So 1860 census for Van Buren Co needs to be looked at (since Higden area was VBC then)....and also 1870. There was another Cornwell there also - I would think you would be from one of them.

You are the first Cornwell to contact me - I thought they had fallen off the face of the earth.
