I am a descendent of the Underwoods in Butter Creek Cemetery. The Van Buren County Cemetery Book lists
Lucinda Harbin Underwood, Richard Underwood and John
Lucian Underwood as being in the Butter Creek Cemetery.
Lucinda Harbin Underwood was my gggrandmother and her
son Richard Underwood, Civil War Veteran, was my ggrandfather. John Lucian Underwood, my grandfather, was
the son of Richard Underwood but the cemetery book is
mistaken about his burial place. John Lucian is not
in Butter Creek Cemetery. He is in the Bradley Cemetery
next to his wife, Parlee Waddell Underwood. The Van Buren
County Cemetery Book shows him as being in the Bradley
Cemetery also. I don't know why they have listed him as
being in two different places and I would like to know how
to correct this mistake before the next printing of the book.
