I am seeking information on the parents of Edward Alexander Brown and his wife Susan Long, my wife's ggg-grandparents - My wife's g-grandmother, Molly Boles Taylor Jones, was raised by her grandparents when her parents, Joseph Boles and Margaret Brown, died young. E. Alexander Brown's parents were William Brown and Nancy Grimes. William was born in 1797 in South Carolina and died 26 December 1880 in Calhoun County (either Georgia or Alabama). He and Nancy Grimes had four sons and five daughters. Their son, E. Alexander Brown was born in 1824 in Hall Co, Georgia. He married Susan Long 14 August 1845 in Lawrenceville, Gwinett Co, Georgia. Susan Long was born in 1823 in South Carolina. Her parents were James and Margaret Long. E. Alexander Brown and Susan Long had David, James, Jane "Janie," Margaret Elizabeth, Dr. Henry Williamson Brown, Mary "Molly," and John Wiley Brown. E. Alexander Brown and his wife Susan died after 1880 at Pleasant Hill, Izard Co, Arkansas, and are buried at Antioch Cemetery, Izard Co, about 5 miles west of Evening Shade, Sharp Co, Arkansas. E. Alexander Brown owned land in both Izard & Sharp counties. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
