Highland Apple Orchard

Does anyone know any history on an apple orchard in Stewart-Highland Township. Family legend is that they grew Transparent apples and shipped them far and wide in fancy boxes with a fancy paper liner for each apple. They also made cider and vinegar. The property was 240 acres in Section 4, Township 18 Range 5N SE and E 1/2 of SW quarters. Years 1912 to 1929. There is no sign of the orchard on this property today.

I am also interested in any history on the Catholic retreat camp that is adjacent to this property. I believe this may have been an orphanage in the time period around 1912 to 1915. There was an outbreak of Scarlet Fever in 1913 and the area was quarantined according to my grandmother. She was not able to attend the funeral of her younger sister who died from complications of Scarlet Fever 2 Sep 1913.

I also have a photo of the 'Stewart Arkansas School' from about 1912 or 1913 if anyone is interested. My relatives are in the photo and yours might be too.
