I am looking for descendants of the Vance-Gilbert family from Cave City (formerly Maxville). Mr. Allen Gilbert died as a result of a fire in the Caraway School in 1929 and my students are interested in honoring his memory with a special service this fall. Please contact me at mfreeman@riverside.k12.ar.us if you have any information regarding living family members of Mr. Gilbert.
