I have fairly extensive records on various Ferguson families in the vicinity of Cave City. Practicaly all of them were decendants of Isaac Ferguson who moved to Williamson County, Tennessee from Halifax County, Virginia in 1806. His son Jerome (And at least one of Jerome's cousins) moved to the vicinity of what is now Cave City 1852/1853. Since this area was on the county line between Lawrence and Independence counties their children would probably have lived in both counties.
