Sue, Here's what I found.

Sharp County Record, 1900;

In the cases of William Yates, S.D.Riddle, and Alfred Kellett, merchants of Williford, indicted for selling intoxicating patent medicines, Mr. Yates was acquitted and the cases against Messrs Riddle and Kellett were nolled.

Among candidates on deck in Hardy this week are Messrs Ritchie, Ferguson, Carpenter, and Salisburg for representitive; Yates, Haney, and Matheny for sheriff.

Oscar Yates died on Sunday, November 18, of typhoid fever, four miles east of Center. He leaves a wife and three small children.
