Hi!
Mary Ann Kyle Roberts was my 3xgreat aunt, a sister to my great-great grandmother, Margarette Kyle Hall Brawley. The Kyles were German and Mary Ann married Mr. Roberts and moved to Ash Flat, Arkansas, Richwoods Township. Margarette, my ancestor, came to Ash Flat as a young widow and around 1856 homesteaded the farm where I now live, the fifth generation to do so. The Kyles were from Madisonville, TN (Monroe County).
In last week's local newspaper there was a wonderful article about the Roberts Farm west of Ash Flat. It, too, remains in the hands of the descendants. We are ten miles from Evening Shade.
