I show Columbus N. Bray to be the son of Benjamin Bray b. 1817 in KY or VA and Avarilla Hutchinson b. abt 1824 in TN. Columbus was a brother to Thomas Bray who married into my husband's Vance family - he married Saphronia Julina Anne Jane "JJ" Vance. Thomas and Saphronia are both buried in the Macedonia Cemetery, Newark, Independence Co., AR. Avarilla is enumerated on the 1870 Cenus of Sharp Co., AR, Washington Twp. dwelling# 12. Hope this helps.
