Ruth Ann--sorry, not my Smith family. From what I understand there were 3 or 4 separate Smith families in the area who were not related to each other. My family was Joseph D. Smith and his wife Mary Hamm Smith.

There are a lot of Smiths buried in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery--some of them mine, some I never heard of. The inventory of this cemetery is on the Sharp County usgenweb.com site.
