Can anyone tell me if there is a list of burials in these cemeteries?
My GGrandpa Thomas G. Roby born 1818 Tennessee, drew a Civil War pension from 1894 to 1897 in Sevier Co AR. He served 3 stints in the War. He died in 1897. I believe he may have been in the Bear Creek area. I want to find him and see to it that he has a headstone.
He was a minister in the Blue Bayou Church also, before moving to Sevier co Ar.
I have tried to find his place of death/burial for a very long time. I will pay someone if need be to help me find him.
I traveled to Little Rock Ar. from my home in Arizona last year, (my husband was waiting in the motorhome..so I felt rushed..)...and only found his pension papers stating he died in 1897. thats all..... the Paper stated that a letter was attached, but there was none.
Would there be a newspaper (DeQueen Bee) or any other one in 1897??? He lived near his son in law John Stout & daughter Rachel Annette ROBY Stout. Rachel ANnette died before 1900, and I believe they may be buried in the same cemetery possibly. He had land in 1895 in Independence Co Ar. If I could find what became of that land, maybe I could find him too?? A man at the Little Rock Ar. library told me there were no war records in Wash D.C., only what they had in the library...I had thought to send for his war records.......
If anyone out there could help me , I sure would appreciate it. I will do research for you, or pay you. I have access to all census/ancestry, etc....
Thank you very much,
Carol in Arizona
