Would that 8% mean full blood Indians or ones who are a part Indian. I am 1/8 Cherokee and my husband is 1/16 Cherokee. When I went to High school at Haworth most were Indian or part Indian, however some of the Indians were blue eyed blonds, like my daughter. Do you know Hap Ward, I believe he is on the Okla Indian council and some kin to me. My Cuz Allan Ward lives at Horatio and DeQueen but is very active with the trail of tears marches into Oklahoma each year. His mother went to Wheelock Academy and he is a large percentage Indian. The name McClure would apear to be an Irish name, hence the McClures I knew might have been part Indian.Faye
