Thank you Debbie,
The 1900 census was my starting point. I just can not find a link to any other Joseph at this point.

The Joseph in White Co GA is NOT him...I found him in a couple of census years with different children the same age as my Joe's.

I know that my Joe was in Arkansas because of the oldest daughter in 1900. I found a Joseph and Eliza June in Terre Noire, Clark Co, AR in 1880. The oldest daughter, Belle, in 1900 is not Melissa's daughter. However, she was born in 1883, so is not on the 1880 census. I also know that Joe and Melissa lived in Indian Territory because of the place of birth for two of the children.

I can't help but think that Eliza June is my Joe's first wife...I have found who I think is two of their daughters who married in I.T. prior to 1900. Just finding a link - means lots of research!!

Thanks again!
