Jacob Keister-Sevier County -1842-

I am seeking any informaion anyone might have on my gggrandfather, Jacob "Jake" Keister. The 1850 census states that Jacob was a blacksmith/rancher in Washington Township. In the 1850 Census, he was listed as 41, born in Virginia.

1846 court records show him as "overseer of roads".

Jacob married Mary Ann Adkisson Still, a widow, May 26,1842, and they had five children all born in Arkansas. Mary Ann had a daughter by her first marriage to Henry Still. The child's name was Emmaline. Emmaline grew up and married George Cowling.

Mary Ann was the daughter of William Adkisson and ____________ of Sevier County.

The children born to this union were:
John F. 1845
James Wesley 1846
George W. 1848
Elizabeth M. 1850
Martha J. 1852.

Mary Ann died, and Jacob married her sister Elvira Adkisson in 1854. To this union was born one son, William Henry Keister, Oct. 24, 1858, my ggrandfather. It is believed Elvira died in childbirth.

Jacob died September 12, 1863.

I am trying desperately to trace Jacob back to Virginia, and find out how he got to Sevier County, Arkansas.

Any information you might have to help me with this stumbling block would be greatly appreciated.
