SEVIER COUNTY SEAT WAS AT PARACLIFTA,THEN AT LOCKSBURG AND MOVED TO DEQUEEN ARKANSAS IN EARLY 1900S. IT IS NAMED AFTER A MR. SEVIER WHO DID A LOT OF WORK TO IMPROVE GOVERNMENT IN SEVIER COUNTY. I WILL HAVE TO GET THE FIRST NAME OF MR. SEVIER, CAN'T REMEMBER IT RIGHT NOW.
