I am a descendant of Rev. John H. Thomas, born May 1859 and died in Fort Smith, Sebastian County on August 10, 1920. He was a negro preacher who lived next to the court of Judge Isaac Parker. The Rev. John H. Thomas was my great-grandfather. After his death in 1920, the family stayed in Fort Smith about 5 more years. Between 1924-1925, the family migrated to Creek Nation, Muskogee County, Oklahoma.
