Ada,Do you have any further information or references regarding her? You said you have a have Catherine H Scott married to Wm A Mason about 1860. I looked them up on ancestry.com and found their oldest child as being born about 1866 so assume they were married maybe 1864-65? I guess I'm trying to reconstruct her life during the time from 1860-1866. I'm trying to see if there is a connection of my gr-grandmother to her. I have found records where my gr-grandmother-Eugenia Arnold says her parents were Benjamin F. Arnold and Catherine Scott. Military Records show Benjamin Arnold to have been born in Wayne County TN. I cannot find him there though. Records show Catherine to have been born and lived in Wayne county Tn. Her family moved in the early 1860s to Pope County then Searcy County AR. My gr-grandmother is in this same local until 1886 when she moves to SD where her dad has moved. A lot of circumstantial evidence seems to point to this Scott family as being my gr-grandmothers maternal family but I just can't quite make the connection. Any help would be appreciated.
