I have gathered some information on Browns of Searcy, Ark if anyone is interested. I am also looking for information on a John Henry Brown born 1868 or one of his sons Eulous/Eulys/Nolas Brown born 1899. I have see his name listed all three ways. Here are some things that I have found. James Brown Born Oct. 1844 (Tenn.) Spouse Martha J.(Brown) (Ark.) Married in 1864 I found a son listed living with them Charley Brown 13 Other sons and their spouses and children William Franklin Brown Born:1865 Spouse Elisbeth (Brown) Married in 1888 1900 census shows 6 children of their own Charley F. Brown 11 William F. Brown 9 Goley Brown 7 Maud Brown 4 Dottie Brown 2 Faytt Brown 9 (No info as to his story) James Henry Brown Born 1868 Spouse Viola Dunn (Brown) Married 1894 Children from an earlier marraige to Rebecca Lawrance) Dorah Brown 10 James W. Brown 8 Arrah Brown 6 (Ira later in life) Ida Brown 7 (stepchild of Viola's) Minnie Brown 4 Nolas Brown 1 (Eulys was his name later on and I don't know why?) Two other children came after the census Roda born in 1903 and died in 1912 Mary Lucy in 1905 I also found a Mary Killbrell who lived with them that is listed as an aunt of James Brown. She was listed as 70 years old in 1900 as was a widow. Thomas W. Brown Born 1874 Spouse Malinda A. (Brown)Married in 1894 Children Orah Brown 3 Willie Brown 1 Lonnie Brown 10 Flecher Columbus Brown Born 1878 Spouse Allice (Brown) Married in 1899 Children Tillie Brown 5 (Former marriage or out of wedlock) James Brown and Martha also had two daughters Mary Brown age 8 in 1880 and Nora Brown aged 5 at the time. I also show another son named John Brown who in 1880 was 13. In an 1860 census, I found a George Brown age 30 living Bear Creek, Searcy, Ark. Spouse was Katherine Brown aged 26. Kids listed: George Brown 10 James Brown 7 Robert Brown 3 Issac Brown 5 Jane Brown 4.5 If you have any additional information on any of this. It would be greatly appreciated.
